HONOR AWARD CEREMONY AT SECOND EBENEZER BAPTIST CHURCH              

      Honor Award Ceremony  Thursday, February 28, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. at Second Ebenezer Baptist Church, 14601 Dequindre, Detroit, Michigan.

       All honor award recipients and their families are invited to attend the Detroit Police Department Honor Award Ceremony.  The ceremony will be held on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at the Second Ebenezer Baptist Church, located at 14601 Dequindre, Detroit, Michigan, (I-75 & McNichols), at 6:00 p.m.

     This ceremony is being held to recognize and honor our department members and some members of outside agencies who have gone above and beyond the call of duty to serve and protect our citizens of the City of Detroit.

        Award recipients are to be assigned out to the Honor Award Board from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on the day of the ceremony.  Awardees shall report to the Second Ebenezer Church at 1PM sharp to participate in rehersals.  Awardee’s may wear street clothes for the reshersal, but must bring their class “A” uniform for the ceremony.  Garrison hats only, no ball caps, and a tie is mandatory. 

         Any member who is listed below to receive an award but cannot attend must notify Commander John Serda, at (313) 596-2413 (Disciplinary Administration) or by email, serdaj138@detroitmi.gov.  If a member is off on extended leave, furlough, disabled, etc., his/her command shall inform the Honor Award Board, through Commander Serda.
