REINSTATEMENT OF THE LEGENDARY BLUE PIGS AND FORMATION OF BLUE SWAG {0}

REINSTATEMENT OF THE LEGENDARY BLUE PIGS AND FORMATION OF BLUE SWAG

      Chief James E. Craig has authorized the reinstatement of the Department’s musical group “The Blue Pigs”.  However, under this new program, The Blue Pigs will be re-named as “The Legendary Blue Pigs”.

Also in an effort to reach Teenagers and Young Adults, Chief Craig has authorized the formation of a younger musical group with a more current sound.  This younger group will be called “Blue Swag”.

Therefore, the department is looking for any “Sworn Officers or Civilian personnel” who would be interested in auditioning to perform as a member of “The Legendary Blue Pigs” or the “Blue Swag”.  Auditions for both groups will also be open to civilians, retirees and Detroit Police Reserve Officers, so if you know of any local Musicians, Singers or Clean Rappers, please feel free to provide them with this information so that they can participate in our upcoming auditions.

For more information and to schedule your audition time slot, please follow the instructions on the “Audition Form” below this teletype message.  If you have any questions, please email Commander Todd Bettison, at email address: bettisont239@detroitmi.gov.
