DPLSA invites you to join us in the Detroit Labor Day Parade (Actives and Retirees).{0}
On Monday, September 5, 2016, the Detroit Police Lieutenants and Sergeants Association (DPLSA) will be marching in the Detroit Labor Day Parade. The DPLSA Executive Team would like to invite all DPLSA Members along with any members of the Detroit Police Department along with their family, friends or supporters to walk with our Association during the Parade to help celebrate and support Labor!

Staging for parade participants begins at 7 am
Step off time is 9:30 am
Michigan Avenue has 9 lanes: 4 eastbound, 4 westbound, and a turning lane. Marchers will line up in the 4 eastbound lanes and the turning lane. The far westbound lane must be
reserved for emergency (EMS) vehicles, while the remaining 3 westbound lanes will be for vehicles.
Vehicles will line up on streets nearest their staging area and feed into Michigan

Each union will be advised by a marshall when to step into the march route at Michigan & Trumbull and march east on
Michigan to Washington Blvd.
Parade participants will march south on Washington marching pass Cobo Hall, pass UAW Ford Program Center/151 West Jefferson, to the Labor Legacy Monument
All vehicles will turn right off of Washington onto Fort Street disbursing as needed.
