BAKER TO VEGAS – 3 ON 3 BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT
The Baker to Vegas Team is hosting a 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament in order to raise funds to support those who will be participating in the 2019 Baker to Vegas Challenge Cup Relay. There are three (3) ways to support:
1) Donate $75 to form a team;
2) Sponsor a team from your command for $75; or
3) Sponsor a member to participate for $25, or participate/play yourself.
Teams will be separated into two categories: under 40 and over 40 (Old School). This event is open to both current and former Detroit Police Department members and will be mixed (both males and females will be on the same teams). We are hoping for enough teams to name each team in honor of our runners. Note: there are (24) runners.
The tournament will be held on Saturday, Mach 9, 2019 at Detroit Edison Public School 1903 Wilkins St., Detroit MI 48207 from 1:00 pm-5:00 pm. Members who participate in this event will do so on their own time. Interested members, who wish to play in the tournament, should forward their names to dpdfit@detroitmi.gov and you will be placed on a team.
The deadline to register has been extended to Friday, March 1, 2019. To register please go to dpdfit@detroitmi.gov. Bragging rights are at stake!
