M & P 40 CALIBER PISTOLS WITH THE SECOND GENERATION

| Beginning, Tuesday, September 29, 2015, the Department will begin replacing all department issued Smith and Wesson M&P 40 caliber pistols with the second generation Smith and Wesson M&P 40 pistol. This transaction will take place during the mandatory 24 Hour In-Service Training at the Rouge Range. Department members reporting to the Rouge Range during their 24 Hour In-Service training shall bring with them the following items:
1. Department issued Smith and Wesson M&P 40 pistol 2. Three (3) Smith and Wesson M&P 40 caliber magazines 3. The Smith and Wesson M&P 40 caliber gun box 4. Three (3) Palm Swells (hand grips), congruent with the pistol surrendered 5. Gun lock.
If any of the aforementioned items are missing an investigation and report by the parent command shall be conducted in accordance with Department policy.
Those department members who desire to purchase their currently issued pistol will be afforded the opportunity to do so. To purchase your weapon please enclose a certified check or money order for $305.00 payable to ”Buds Police Supply” and fill out a”Weapon Return Form”, supplied by Firearms Training. Both the check/money order and Weapon Return form are to be placed inside the gun box.
All pistols purchased will be shipped to Cole Armory, 2333 Six Street, Wyandotte,Michigan, 48192, a Michigan FFL dealer, who will contact the appropriate purchasing member upon receiving the pistol to complete the purchase. |
