Final Approval of City of Detroit Proposal{0}
DPLSA Members,
On Thursday, December 17, 2015, The DPLSA was in attendance during a Special Session City Council approved the City of Detroit Proposal which included a one year extension on the 2014 – 2019 DPLSA Master Agreement, wage increase and other amendments for the law enforcement employees.
On Monday, December 21, 2015, The DPLSA was in attendance during their regular scheduled meeting the Financial Review Commission approved the final measure for the one year on the 2014 – 2019 DPLSA Master Agreement, wage increase and other amendments for law enforcement employees.
The City of Proposal that was voted on and ratified by the DPLSA on Wednesday, December 9, 2015, will be effective January 1, 2016. The only article that was not presented and signed by the DPLSA is the (2) year promotional test.
Please be patient there is still much work to be done including the process of forwarding the college transcripts and other matters, we are currently working with City Labor, Police Labor and Human Resources to resolve these important issues.
The Wage increase will take place effective January 1, 2016 and should be reflected on the payroll of the new year. We are also working to resolve other outstanding matters that involve our membership again I ask you to be patient and we will keep you informed!
