Our Mission
The mission of the Detroit Police Lieutenants and Sergeants Association is to enforce, protect, and enhance the rights, benefits, and working conditions of our members to ensure their well-being and effectiveness in serving the citizens of Detroit. We are dedicated to fostering a safer, more connected community through proactive engagement and a commitment to excellence. Representing the Detective, Investigators, Sergeants, and Lieutenants of the Detroit Police Department, we advocate for our members and collaborate with affiliate associations to support the broader goals of public safety and community trust. Detroit Police Lieutenants and Sergeants Association (DPLSA) was organized and consolidate in January 1929, Incorporated May 1949 and the original by-laws were adopted in June 1934.
