Passing of Retired Lt. Alfred Gomez – Mesquita{0}
On behalf of the Detroit Police Lieutenants and Sergeants Association our prayers go out to the family of Retired Lt. Alfred Gomez – Mesquita. Lt. Gomez endured a lot during his long tenure with the Detroit Police Department and through it all he was a class act and continued to treat individuals with respect along with greeting and talking to everyone with infectious smile and laughter. My first assignment was the Sixth Precinct and he was my Commander and I had a tremendous amount of respect for him and to me he will always be Commander Gomez, rest in peace my friend and just in case no one else ever told you, job well done!
